Molton Brown Heavenly Gingerlily ($50USD)
Molton Brown Heavenly Gingerlily Body Polisher is described to be a non abrasive exfoliant that has enticing island aromas and micro-exfoliating Tahitian sand that gently massages your skin while the gel transforms into silky milk for flawless, blissfully soft skin. When I opened the jar, earthy notes escaped and caressed my nostrils. I couldn’t make that sound any less romantic because thats EXACTLY what happened! #UnapologeticallyWooed 🙂
It has a faint floral smell. It was far from overpowering but the warm notes of ginger and cardamom were present. I so wish that this scent came in a candle LOL! I’d probably burn it every single night right before bed. Peep game:
YO! I did NOT expect for this body scrub to transform into a milky lotion moments later after exfoliating with it. Ya’ll can only imagine how surprised I was. It felt ah-mazing! A little goes an overwhelmingly long way. Initially I though this was very thick but the texture melted into a velvety milk as soon as water came into contact with it. Because of this, I would recommend using the scrub on your skin while its dry and THEN rise it off. I say this because the consistency is thick and the scrub will glide against your skin if it is wet. The only con I have is that you must keep this away from your shower head (or any place where water can get into it) or else your whole body scrub is now a lotion lol.
If you use your scrub in the shower like I do: Use a spoon for your scrub! It makes the work more easier. If you don’t, you’ll end up using your wet hands to get the product out and trust me, you DO NOT want water mixing in with your body scrubs. Also! Another reason I say this is because I was able to measure and determine why a little goes a long way and how much I needed. Being that this product was thick in consistency it also proved to me that it will last me for MONTHS.
I’m impressed! No lie — I must have used this for 3 day’s straight upon receiving it. I’m a believer. It’s pretty hard to win me over with skincare because I’m not easily impressed and usually my skin resorts back to its regular shenanigans moments later after trying products. But my skin felt soft to the touch and looked revitalized. Molton Brown Heavenly Gingerlily is $50 USD. Would I purchase this? Most definitely. It’s pretty steep but I know it will last me for a great amount of time. My last body scrub was around $38…believe it or not I still prefer the Heavenly Gingerlily Body Polisher! It doesn’t strip my skin of it’s moisture like most body scrubs do. the Tahitian volcanic sand polishes and removes all traces of dead/dry skin cells, and transforms into a velvelty milk to moisturize the skin. Very innovative!..Girl, get you some.
FUN FACT: DUDE. Totally use this before you shave your legs! Exfoliating prior to shaving gets debris (dead skin cells) out of the way for a smoother shave. I was feeling myself like:
HAVE YOU TRIED THIS? Who’s a Molton Brown fan? Cause I am…Can’t wait to run to nordstrom and check out there other goodies!
