It’s important to have a variety of ’em! As you can see in my photo above, I didn’t want to limit myself to only being a beauty blogger. This post is certainly not about beauty! LOL hence why I just dropped the ‘beauty’ and left ‘blogger’ on the card instead.
Something new & fresh
As people, do we stay the same? NO! We are constantly evolving — so should your business cards! Ya’ll don’t want to see my business cards from 3 years ago. I don’t know what I was thinking! The only reason I didn’t upload the photo to this post is because I’m not sure if you have phone/computer insurance if it stops working immediately upon viewing it. Hahah! One word: HOT MESS…Well actually that’s two. You get the point 😉
Trust me, eventually you will get bored of handing out the same ol’ flamboyant glittery pink business cards to people. So don’t be afraid to switch it up!
If you’re a freelancer, definitely consider having a maximum of 3 different cards. I have two! A conservative one, and a cutesy fun one. Being that I’m a Freelance Makeup Artist, I want to attract more than one kind of market! I wouldn’t want to hand a lawyer a flamboyant hot pink glittery business card. Handing over that professional business card lessens my chances of it getting tossed. Analyze the crowd and supply what’s appropriate 😉 I have a business card for each type of customer I’d want to attract. From professionals to high schoolers.
If you’re wondering how to get started on business cards, Vistaprint & Zazzle are dope! They’re very cute and affordable. The best part is that you can customize your business cards to your liking. Everyone walks away happy!
